OK, barring any cracks about tin foil hats, looking for helicopters circling or black Suburbans with tinted windows out side your house aside..
Given that these types of forums are a primary source of meeting and communication for persons of our interests and hobbies, and there are now a large hand full pf people at the top of the political food chain that would just as soon see all of us in jail or gone from the planet...
If by some chance they did shut down all of the sites, what alternative methods to we have available for communications among each other.
Nothing is impossible. If a Gun Grab did start, the net is the fastest way that the word would get out. I doubt you could rely on the media.
What would we do? What could we do?
On hiatus.
Hit my limit for speculation, the sky is falling, and gun owners fighting amongst themselves.

I personally have stalked up on small mirrors and started reading up on sending smoke signals.
Seriously though, that's a good question. I'm thinking usenet (newsgroups) may be a good option or email lists.

If it all starts going down in my neck of the woods, I'd sure give a great attempt to get the word out to others. If I am unable to do that, just listen for shots fired or look for smoke on the horizon. As far as networking in the aftermath, I figure I'll have other things to worry about besides regaining communication. I'll need to depend on things locally if I feel the need to depend on anything other than myself.

As most of us did or do during active duty recall, you could muster at the closest gun shop/range for 5150 day and start handing out assignments based on experience and MOS / AFSC. Effectively "marching orders"!
Socialism tries to give the slave all the advantages of his security together with the benefits of freedom, and, in the process, destroys both the free and the enslaved.

When Andrews hit my neck of the woods (South Florida) it took down most communication towers including a 2000 feet tower that had the repeaters for L.E. , Firefighters, EMS, etc.
For a few days, until the Army came, the only way these agencies could communicate was with the help of Amateur Radio (Hams).
Hams have many organisation such as RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services) and more.
We train to operate under catastrophic conditions, some of us are able to set up a station about anywhere.
For under $1000, you can have a set-up that will allow you to communicate State-wide most of the time, Nation-wide half of the time and worldwide some of the time.
For a couple hundreds, a mobile or handheld transceiver will give you local communications which can be augmented by repeaters...
