I'm sick of winter. It's been white up here in Central NY since about Halloween, and now we are supposed to get another 12-14" tonight. I'm running out of places to pile snow as the banks around my yard are already about 4-6-feet high.

well heres some photos of our little ice storm thats caused havoc here in KY. My little buddy didnt like it too much either.

I just got off a plane from Grenada. Two weeks of high 90's outside, and 34 degree beer.
OK, OK, I'm home now, and it's snowing so don't get too pissed at me.

We got just enough on the 26th to cover the roads in SE KS leading to a bunch of accidents. So far, no power losses that I've heard of.
Thought you might get a kick out of some photos I took out my back door in 2002. This was the strangest ice storm I'd seen. If you'll notice, there is virtually no ice on the ground. It was a freezing rain but only froze on items that were suspended and had a free flow of air around them. My porch steps were perfectly clear, but the railing was an inch thicker than it was supposed to be. We were without power for 48 hours making me real happy that I had bought a 8800 watt generator that summer. Several areas were out of power for up to 10 days.

Yeah CV...that was a very bad ice storm in OK as well. We have a small ice storm now...power out etc.

I feel for you, we have had lots of snow this year, and a wicked ice storm just before Christmas. We lost power for over a week... and we were some of the lucky ones... minimal damage, some people lost power for 12 days and are still picking up broken trees :(
