Can I buy Obama an NRA Membership?

I would really love to buy the President an NRA membership..as a way to welcome him to Washington DC.....would that be illegal? Would the NSA come knocking at my door? Would I be better getting him a fern as a house warming present? Comments?

The NRA offers gift memberships: https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/g...aignID=nranews

but then again, maybe the money is better spent buying ammo.

He probably wouldn't be able to accept it, the NRA would probably send your money back, the NSA would probably think it is funny deep down but might have to check you out to make sure you aren't one of those scary gun nuts

I say do it, then call us with your free call and let us know how it went

Why that is a heck of an idea. The membership along with a subscription to the Freedom magazine.

I don't think anything is illegal about it. Although you might end up getting a call from the NRA regarding the membership.

    What a swell idea.

Better yet. Of course Bumper would have to sign on for this one.

We could all throw in a buck and give it as a gift from the nice folks at DC.

No I am not looking to get the site shut down. Simply a friendly jesture from responsible gun owners.

Well, it is a funny idea. But would you guys like someone to buy you a subscription to "Out" magazine?

Edit: I wonder just what would open his eyes????

Great idea!! Then he would be listed on the NRA membership lists. How could he prosecute himself?

I say do it - and of course we will all chip in for bail money.

I actually think it is a good idea, but I doubt it would make it to his desk. Now if you got a membership to a family member, then he may see it one day.

I wonder how much a membership would run for him and his entire cabinet?

    Really what could it hurt?

Why don't you buy a membership for a fellow shooter who is not a member yet? Better expenditure of your money and more appreciated in the long run.
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

He's a politician. I bet he would just use it to show that here is on our side. He wouldn't be the first to do that.
