F16 vs C130- There is a moral here....

A C-130 was lumbering along when a cocky F-16 flashed by.
The jet jockey decided to show off.

The fighter jock told the C-130 pilot, 'watch this!' and promptly
went into a barrel roll followed by a steep climb. He then finished
with a sonic boom as he broke the sound barrier. The F-16 pilot
asked the C-130 pilot what he thought of that?

The C-130 pilot said, 'That was impressive, but watch this!'
The C-130 droned along for about 5 minutes and then the C-130
pilot came back on and said: 'What did you think of that?'
Puzzled, the F-16 pilot asked, 'What the heck did you do?'
The C-130 pilot chuckled. 'I stood up, stretched my legs, walked
to the back, went to the bathroom, then got a cup of coffee and a
    cinnamon bun.'

When you are young & foolish - speed & flash may seem a good thing !!!
When you get older & smarter -
comfort & dull is not such a bad thing !!!

Us old folks understand this one.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

That story/joke dates back to WW2 days. (different aircraft of course)

The C130 is one cool plane capable of some amazing stuff, but I wouldnt turn down a ride in an F16 either.

I'm right in the middle... Young enough to be foolish, yet old enough to know when I'm being foolish. I'm young enough to be cocky, and old enough that to know it only makes me look foolish.

I remember a similar story back during the Viet Nam war involving an F-4 and a B-52. After showing off for the B-52 the F-4 driver asked the BUFF driver if he could top that. After replying can do easy the 52 pilot called back a couple of minutes later and stated “I just shut down engines, top that”

I can kind of relate. I'm CH-53 aircrew, and I have a few friends who were CH-46 aircrew. We lift more, move faster, etc...but I can also stand up in my cabin without my head hitting the cieling. :)

Many variations of the story. Always good for a chuckle though.

Sort of reminds me of the old story of the young bull and the old bull on a hillside discussing what to do about the herd of young heifers in the valley below. I'm sure everyone has heard the story.

Not without a ten point penalty he can't!
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.

I have seen up close and personal the destruction of an AC-130. When in the crap it is a welcome sight and an awesome display of fire power.
