Fell in the parking lot at work
There is a nice sheet of ice covering the parking lot at work. This proved to be very dangerous when I tried to get into my 4x4 truck. Fell right on my side. The strong side! I now have a Glock 23 shaped bruise on my rump. Because this is a family friendly forum I will NOT post pics.

Well just be glad you don't carry SOB and fell onto your carry that way! I've heard of some serious injury that way.

Ouch, that had to sting. Glad you're OK and hope you didn't scratch the Glock.

Look into getting ice cleats. They are skeletonized, rubberized wraps for your shoes, with pegs on the bottom. True life savers and dirt cheap to boot!

Yeah, and have the boss send out the salt truck so the lot is de-iced.
I've had to overweight friends and one overweight not so friend take some serious falls b/c of lack of salting in work areas. Unfortunately, the friends were seriously injured and were off work for about six months. One with a fractured skull, bleeding out in a remote location, just happened to be picked up by one of our drivers scouting out the area. Friend #2 was along with the driver then. Then, friend #2 takes a fall this year in a different location, gets a serious concussion and a broken tailbone.
Not-so-friend yelled at me when I radioed for more plowing and salt in the area where Friend #1 fell and bled the next week. The week after that, poetically, Not so Friend, came to inspect the area and fell on his ass.
Ah, bosses too lazy to do their job and too cheap to spread more salt....

I sympathize with you. I was carrying an armload of drinks at a local stop and rob, and they had the aisle that I was walking down narrowed by end caps. I couldn't see the floor that well, and as I got to the end, the end cap caught my foot, and I went down. I had my Glock 26 in my jacket pocket, and landed right on it. I had a large Glock shaped bruise on my right lower chest. Took 2 weeks to go away! So hang in there, and apply ice.

Isn't that irony, hurt from a fall on the ice, just apply ICE.
