Yeah, I got one. I'll post pics in a little bit. He's an english setter, young, less than 1 year. He locks on and points everything around. I think with some time, he'll make a fine bird dog.

That's about the age that my worthless (cute, but worthless) rat terrier was when we got him. Probably already housebroken is a bonus. On the downside you don't get to name him, do you? I wanted to name mine "Peeve" so I could have a "pet peeve" but my wife wouldn't let me confuse him with a new name. I think she was making excuses. Good luck with the new pup.

    Glad you found a dog.

They say dogs actually lower stress levels in people.

Yes, we renamed him. Nobody knows what his name was, and the rescue people named him Jasper...there was no harm in renaming him. Here's Stinky Pete. He stunk horribly when we first got him, he got a huge scrub down this morning.

He's a handsome boy, soon all that snow behind him will be yellow.

They are thrilled. My boy was ticked when I told him Stinky Pete couldn't sleep in his room just yet. Pete has never been a house dog, so he is in training. (thats going well BTW, the only issue is that he keeps locking on point and then chasing the cat)

After I'm sure he has learned proper house manners, he can sleep where ever he chooses.

    Sixto,

Congrats, and the cat will adapt. Nice looking setter.

Good lookin dog..... looks like he already has his eye on something when you took the pick.

I have 2 dogs... think I need a 3rd. My one..... tries to steal my covers every night... she grabs them after I'm in bed and comfy and pulls them off of me, then "smiles", I swear... she "smiles".... (I think she's also laughing quietly).
