Wife wants Hawaii, I would like a 44 Mag

I would like a 44 Mag revolver for hunting and just to have. Wife would like to go to Hawaii (unique situation as her easy to get along with sister and family are stationed there, so it will save on cost).

I want to do something special (it is our 10th wedding anniversary). We really don't have the funds for both (and firearm season is 10 months away). So sooner or later, 44 Mag on the back burner and hello Hawaii.

Still, I can't help but pine after the S&W 44 Mag revolver. She asked, "You would rather have that revolver." She caught me looking at it online, and I think I was acting like a child looking at dirty pictures. I was honest and said, no, but it would be nice.

I guess a trip to Hawaii and a longer wait on the 44 is a good life. But I have not felt this want for something since I was 12 on Christmas.

Similar yet different situation I want a Barret 82, my wife said hello no way, she didn't even want something else. At least you get to go to Hawaii, on second thought no CCW in Hawaii so maybe you realy got a bad deal.

I lived on Oahu for a while, trust me, it's worth it. Just stay away from the tourist traps and enjoy the islands. If you're going to be there a while try island hopping, once you get there intra-island tickets are dirt cheap.

See I bargained with my wife. She gets ten pieces of jewelery, I get my .50 cal. I'm two short right now, but after the election she told me to go ahead and order it anyways, we;ll always be able to buy jewelery.

Sometimes a man must do what he must to keep the wife happy...the Smith will still be there, and will be all the sweeter when you do get it. Besides, once you've been to Hawaii, she'll find it that much harder to say no to the Smith.

There are motorcycle shops and old Corvettes on the road to my favorite firearms store. Many purchases have been made at the firearms store after "Gee, look at that Harley/Corvette!" comments.

    Take the trip to Hawaii..

This will get you points with your wife and make future gun purchases easier or at least thats how my lady would react.

If you pick the gun over her and the trip. She will remember this every time you go to the range.

Hawaii first, then if she complaines about the .44 remind her about the trip.

This is just me and YMMV...

Gun first. Then Hawaii (really, buy another gun and don't go to Hawaii)

I was born there/lived there, and have no desire to go back.

It will get you very negative vibes from the spousal unit though.

It is just me, but I never intend to go to Hawaii. I would take the gun, but then what do I know, I have been divorced twice.

There may be something wrong with me, as a woman, but I'd take the gun over the trip any day

Make a deal…. Tell her that you will go to Hawaii if she will allow you to put the .44 Mag on lay-away.
