    Unhappy Annoying NEC LCD monitor problem

    I have an NEC Accusync 72VX flat panel lcd monitor. It has that stupid "auto adjust" feature that I cannot turn off.

    Every once in a while it takes a spell and wants to continually auto adjust itself over and over every 15 or 20 seconds. Annoys the crap outta me!

    If I go ahead and do a manual "auto adjust" it will stop until the next time I fire up the compooter.

    Then, all of a sudden one day I will boot up and it doesn't do it and this may last for weeks without the annoyance. Then it will come back one day and it all starts over again.

    Believe me, I have searched this over and over and over for days and hours trying to figure out what is going on.

    Try updating the drivers for your video card. It may be a bug in the output the monitor is detecting as a resolution change. Could also be the video cable. Replace it with a borrowed one to see if the problem continues.
