I was going to say that a firearm is a tool and it's beauty is in it's functioning. But after seeing some of those pics.....yikes. I would still accept all the firearms except the Hi Point.

Now don't get me wrong, I carry a Glock every day and trust it to save my life. Let's face it though, it has all the aesthetic appeal of a brick.
For some strange reason I have always wanted to buy one of these Hi-Points. The .45 intrigues me in a mysterious way. Who here has one that they can tell me a little about? Are they as reliable as the fan boys say they are? Or are they as crappy as the gun snobs say? For $139 I may have to find out for myself. But indeed there is no question about it, they are ugly as sin.Quote:

They are a great price, and remarkably reliable, they may not have the appearance of higher priced guns, and magazine capacity leaves alot to be desired, but there are simply alot of people who are just snobbing at them because of the lower price tag.
Its not because of the lower price tag... I couldn't care less what you paid for your gun. Its just that some designs, materials work to make a reliable pistol and other don't.
