    Veterans Memorial Museum pics

    We went to the Veterans Memorial Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN this past weekend. there was a lot of really good stuff from the Revolutionary War on up to the present. It's all one man's collection.

    Here's some of the pictures:

    from left to right:
    a BAR
    A Lee-Enfield converted to .410
    WWII Japanese bamboo helmet (feel safer?)

    Thx for all the pics Betty.

    I had to chuckle seeing the horse gas mask - I have seen a pic of it before and somehow it looks real goofy!

    Oh and yeah - bamboo helmet - great protection !

    Nice pics. Thanks Betty. Always wanted a Win 97 in the trench mode. Looks to have been parkerized. Didn't get a chance to say "congrats" to you and the Mr. Now the work really starts. -------

    Being a horse lover, that gas mask photo kinda gives me the creeps...can't (dont want to) imagine taking a poor dumb beast into that kind of environment

    I have been to Pigeon Forge many years ago but there was no museum then. Thanks for the pix, I enjoyed them. I may have had one of those WWII toy rifles. I remember having some type of toy rifle. Details are hazy now, but the pix sparked a memory. Thanks again.
