Some of this stuff that floats around seems so logical probably everyone has passed somethin on. Like everything else, it's a learning process.

I just wrote a post on this in a greyhound forum I visit. We frequently get e-mails passed along there that have bad info. The deliberate misinformation is rare. Mostly, it is good-hearted people trying to help, and unintentionally passing along bad info. Even when you are trying to check the facts, it is easy to be duped.

If you took all of the bad information out of the ocean of information that makes up the internet, you'd have a pond :)
From experience, I run things through Snopes before I pass them on.
Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.

Jury's still out on that one. . .
But I'm one of those who feels responsible for whatever I pass on.
One thing I do NOT like about Snopes is the adware it insist on inserting in your system. If you don't allow it, you don't get the info.
Norton's and Windows Washer takes it all out, every night. I just resent the intrusion.
