Obama Voter at gun range...Long Story

    Oh Boy can I ramble.

Just a weird experience. I went to the indoor gun range here in NPR and I parked as far in the back as I could next to another truck, a chevy. I grab my backpack and walked to the front door. I see no one out side, just vehicles. I go in and see the owner towards back and a salesmen dealing with a customer. I go over and look at the rental guns because I want to try out a Glock 36, all they have is the Glock 30. I knew this going in, I was there before. Some dude (I did not see) comes by me and says “looking for a gun?” At the very first moment I thought, is this guy an employee? I said “Well yeah I want to try out this Glock 45cal.” He says” I got a 40cal. It’s better then the 9mm and I feel the .45 is –to slow-.”

Alarms go off in my head * Mall Ninja, Beware* All I could muster was “oh”. So now the owner comes over and says who’s gonna go shooting or something to that effect. I said “I want to try out the Glock 30 and also a box of ammo for it.” He says “Fine and do you have any ammo in that Large backpack you are carrying?” I said “Yeah, but it is 38’s and I don’t have my SP101 on me, I ain’t gonna use them.” He says “Ok but I am going to have to see what you got in the backpack.” On a side note This Gun shop has a sign that says “No loaded guns allowed in store.” I always just walk right past that sign. If he asks me to leave I will and never go back. In my mind, that sign is for the folks that want to show their loaded firearm to others, and accidents can happen. I bought my first gun here and got my CCP training from him.

At this time I have my Kel-Tec PF-9 in an ankle holster. And a full spare mag. In a nylon knife holder in the open water bottle holder on the back pack. I said “Sure, no problem.” I unzip bag pull out three rags and a set of ear protection and a tray of 38’s wrapped in a micro fiber cloth with a rubber band on it. He says “That’s all you got in there I thought you had more stuff?” as he picks up the wrapped 38’s turns it side ways then sets them down. Then he lifts the backpack and sets it back down. I said “Yeah its what I told you was in it. What did you expect?” as I am putting everything back in. He says he has to check because of the ammo shortage, people are buying what ever ammo they can find and almost burnt down his range. I said how the heck did they do that? He replied that someone used 9mm tracer rounds. I told him all I use is Blazer brass and Remington so far. He also said no exposed lead bullets. He doesn’t want aluminum casings either. I already knew his rule about the last two.

He also says he is low on ammo because the ammo companies don’t have any primers to make the bullets. I said ok. I am given a form to fill out and I notice one question is “Do you intend to harm yourself or someone else with this gun?” I mark it “NO”. The Mall Ninja is already in there at stall 4, I go to stall 2. I hear his gun go off a bunch of times and I load and shoot the Glock. Just point and shoot at about 7 yds. The Gun feels fine I hit center mass. Shot 2 sets of 5 and retrieve the automatic target and put yellow stickies over holes. I take the paper I just removed the stickies from and walk over to the trash can and throw them in. Unfortunately for me it is near Mall Ninja And we are the only two in there. He sees me and says “How do you like it.”

I said it’s fine and go back to my gun. He comes over and says “Would you like to try my bullet loader?” And he shows me the device. I said “ No thanks I am only loading 5 at a time and this spring is well worn”. “ But hey that looks like the one I read about on a fourm.(This Fourm). Do you know the name of it?” He says it is on the package over here. I walk over to see the name, it is the “UpLula” Now he wants me to watch him use it, then touch his Gun (I SAID Gun). And see his laser. I am thinking, Poor Mall Ninja just needs someone to talk to. I go back to my gun, He follows… He says he doesn’t like Glocks because they don’t have a safety. And he has two kids and he needs a safety. He shows me a picture of his kids. I tell him Glocks do have safeties. Just not a lever.

I try to explain hammer block I say the spring loaded firing pin can not hit the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. He doesn’t understand. I said ok but you are right, accidents can happen I saw this Cop shoot himself on YouTube I told him he could look it up. He said what he saw on YouTube was this Baby being bitten by a King cobra in India, I said Oh yea I saw that too, I believe that snake had it fangs removed and didn’t kill the baby. It is part of their customs, as strange as it may be. He said if he met that guy he would shoot him in the face. He said he doesn’t like when kids are used in weird customs.

I said OK, I guess I can understand that, I don’t like when certain religious groups raise their kids to hate certain groups. Something was missed in the translation because he goes on about Obama. And says he voted for Obama. I said you better enjoy that gun now because Obama don’t like guns. His reply is He hates McCain, and Palin is stupid. I tell him about Geithner and His Tax fraud and the Trillions we are printing, I tell him how inflation works tell him about how frannie and freddy forced banks to make Ninja loans. He says he hates Bush. I tell him they are trying to use the IRS as a weapon and Geither wants more power, even after his many wrong decisions and we are moving towards Socialism, And Obama hasn’t really made a good move yet.

He says he is doing well, his wife is smart, she has an IQ of 160 and she is a teacher. And he drives a nice and big truck And has a nice home. And then He says “You also drive a nice truck isn’t that your Full size ford outside?” This guy is either the Best actor or he is really not so bright. Why does he know about my truck. He then says after all that has happened he may not of voted for Obama if he had a chance to do it again. But still feels he is doing an OK job. I said Dude we live in the “United States of Entertainment” and many are brainwashed by the media.

There was more said but I wont bore any of you that made it this far. Just wanted to end by saying my Glock was loaded and sitting on the shelf in my stall with my hand close to it. The conversation wasn’t as heated as I could of made it. It did come into my mind where we were, And I do remember that part on the form I signed about me saying “NO”. When I was sweeping up my brass he asked me if I was going to buy it I said maybe and then left. As I walked into parking lot I saw what must be his Large Ford truck. Is he just a ford fan and that’s why I stood out to him. What a strange day at the range.

I have to go Someone is at my front door……..JK about door.

When someone mentions Bush, McCain, or Palin, I just tell them that the only person that matters now is Obama. Hate the other three all you want they are not in the picture anymore. I cant stand people like that. Unfortunately they usually arent listening to you when you speak. They're trying to think up some rediculous statement that has nothing to do with the conversation at hand because they arent smart enough for a good debate. They dont have knowledge or an informed opinion only emotions. I give you a lot of credit for your patience. Soooo.... Did ya buy it?
Note: This post may contain misspellings, grammatical errors, disorganized sentence structure, or may entirely lack a coherent theme. These elements are natural to the process of writing, and will only add to the overall beauty of the post.

I try to leave people alone at the range. Sometimes I can't help asking a question or two about the firearm being used, but you can tell in the first ten seconds whether or not someone is in the mood for conversation. If they don't appear to be, then I just nod politely and go about my business. I like to be sociable but I certainly don't want to be "that guy."

Uh...contrary to perhaps popular belief...but there are many liberals that own guns, believe in self defense, and believe in the 2A.

I think all six of them are here on DC.

I think he's making the point that Creepy wack jobs are everywhere. I'd ask him to "leave me alone" this is my 'me' time.

Interesting side note to a political discussion
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

I am sorry to those that read that massive post and was waiting for closure. It’s kinda like the movie “No country For Old Men”(but without the good acting and good story telling and interesting characters ) you have to come to your own conclusions.
I was just relaying an unusual set of circumstances. I didn’t mention all the things said and done, my fingers were tired, Ha. I tried to get the strangest stuff and what led to them. I wanted to mention I was never searched before at this range but it really didn’t bother me Just different. I didn’t mention how Mall Ninjas face looked when he said he wanted to shoot that guy in the face. And when I wrote about the answer marked "NO" he was now at his stall with his arm out of view. And yes, all of his replies were based on emotions as one poster stated and he seems to be led by the media at large. I am far from perfect and sometimes I feel I may judge people to harshly, I thought this when he approached me the second time. I now feel my first impression was correct. I could not hang out having a beer with this type. And no I did not buy it Yet, that stores prices are always more then my other shop. I plan on buying it tomorrow. I will post Pictures.

I need to take Writing classes so I can express what I mean in a better manner. After reading my Quote, it sounds really bad.. Please let me retry it. Or maybe I shouldn’t, I buried myself so deep already. But… When I realized I was leaning on the shelf and my hand was close to a loaded firearm…I thought, Perhaps his was too. I am absolutely sure I am safe, but not so sure about others. I don’t know how frustrated or angry I could have been making him. As by heated I meant, I could go deeper into what I feel are outrageous actions done since the “ninja loans” forced by frannie and fredy and others, but the gun range may not be the proper place. And the "NO" when I read that on form all I could think of was someone using it on themself. I will just shut up now, I am probably making it worse. Oh no I just had a thought… Maybe I AM PERCEIVED AS THE MALL NINJA GUY…. Noooooooooooo!

Using the return key once in a while would help.
