It is amazing just how varied we all are. Keep them coming.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory, where I worked in the Space Physics group.
I am a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator.
Served as a US Army MP for 3 years, did some work as a Metrology Tech for a local company, worked at Sears as a store detective and was a security guard for a local mall.
Worked for my dad for a year out of engineering college (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), figured I owed him for helping me pay for it, then got a job at the Northern Illinois electric company (Commonwealth Edison), worked there for 16 years, volunteered for a separation package, did consulting/contract engineering work for about 4 years. I'm semi-retired right now, writing fiction, but I'm considering going back to work doing risk assessment, which I really enjoy, as I'm kinda bored.
