I have a Jewish neighbor and I was talking to him this last weekend. We go to talking about holidays and the similarities between some Jewish holidays and some Christian holidays and he asks me if I know that all Jewish holidays have the same basic meaning. I said no and asked him what he meant.
He told me, if you boil them all down far enough, all Jewish holidays have the same basic design. "They tried to kill us, we survived...let's eat!"
I got a good laugh at that one!
