Well, I am just buying the Glock because 1) it was priced at a price I am willing to pay, 2) don't knock em tell you try em (as in, I 'bash' the Glock sometimes but it's really not fair for me to do so since I'm never personally owned one), and 3) I had a need for a .40 to replace the one that I had but ended up not liking (the trigger, the gun was great with everything else).
I also firmly believe that a person should own at least one gun of every make and model (and yes, I do have a Jennings .22 as well as a Tec-9), in every caliber (maybe not the .45 gap *grin*), and in every form.
But that's just me

I'm bucking the polymer handgun trend. My last two purchases were an M1 Garand and a Marlin 39A Golden. I might buy another SA revolver just to keep being different...

Actually the only polymer gun I have found much use for is the XD series. It's not because I really have anything against polymer itself it just works out that way.

maybe we are on the same page !![]()
Hehe... but to be fair, the XD platform is inspired from 3 others: the Glock, the Sig, and the 1911. It borrows features from each.
Although the Glocks intrigue me somewhat, I can't get used to the idea of plastic. Just me

I guess I followed one trend in that I got my first SIG for Christmas. But I had been planning that for about 6 months. I've been a Glock man for years, so I am definitely not following a trend there. (I am the Trend!!!) I don't see myself getting an XD. I like Glocks a lot better for that style of weapon.

I've just gone full circle back to Glocks also. I purchased two G19s just last week.
Yep, I noticed that too, and that was something that I liked about the XD. I actually bought the first HS2000 in Chattanooga and had to go to Knoxville to get it.Originally Posted by Euclidean
I especially liked the grip safety (1911) the light polymer frame (Glock) the slide release (sig). I like the trigger better than Glock, I like the slick metal mags better than Glocks. I also especially like the ambidextrious mag release. It's a slick little gun.
