Another use for the Emerson "wave"

As I sat around my frosty brew, just waiting to be opened, I realized I had no bottle opener. I remembered my old lighter trick, prying it off with a bic. I don't smoke anymore though, so I figured the spine of my knife would make an alright substitute. Then it dawned on me...the wave. It's shaped somewhat like a bottle opener. Hooked it under the cap, and it worked like a charm. Is there anything the wave can't do?

Talking about the wave being a bottle opener, in the day you could take your BIC lighter, pop it under the bottle cap and pop it off :)

I'll use almost anything laying around to open my beer... Sharpies, other bottles, door jams, drawers, flashdrives, rolled up magazines... but bic lighters are still my fav

    Teeth?
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

First night back from Iraq I couldn't find any bottle openers, but did have my Spyderco with a wave in my pocket, and had the same thoughts. Right now I've been using a tactical beverage entry tool from Larue tactical though.

I used love to bring beer with crimped tops to paries when I was younger, it is fun to watch a drunk human act like a dim witted primate. Once a guy tried to use another bottle, full, to open the one he intended to drink; He ended getting the wrong bottle open and looked perplexed as the inverted bottle poured into his lap!

I used to have a bottle opener on my keyring, but I like to keep my keys small. I drink microbrews mostly, so it's all crimped tops for me. I've seen a few people open crimped tops with their teeth...it's disturbing and I don't have the cajones to try it. My teeth are chipped up enough as it is...

There is a really attractive female that holds the world record for opening beer bottles with her teeth.

I think she opened 1,000 bottles of beer in a row using her teeth/

    And BTW...she has NICE teeth.
