Done, thanks for the link. Don't think it will make much of a difference, but it is worth a try.

Along with the 2nd Amendment plugs, I also mentioned that I wished the ACLU would support all rights, for everybody. It is after all the American Civil Liberties Union, not the Minority Civil Liberties Union.
There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

Done! As said previously, probably won't make any difference.
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

I generally disagree with 95% of what the ACLU does (that I hear about), so it really can't hurt anything to do this. Hope it helps somehow.

I started to do the survey and almost puked when I saw these choices:
Ending warrantless eavesdropping on people in the U.S.
Safeguarding the separation of church and state.
Restoring habeas corpus and due process.
Ending the system of injustice at Guantánamo Bay."
Defending reproductive rights and other fundamental women's rights.
Ending the use of torture by the U.S.
Promoting equal rights for lesbians and gay men, and marriage rights for same-sex couples.
Working for racial justice and to end racial profiling.
    Ending Patriot Act abuses.
What a bunch of crap! "Ending the system of injustice at Gitmo? Are you ******* me? "Ending the use of torture by the US." What? That assumes the US is guilty and we have to do something to help these poor souls (who want to slit the throats of your children).

Where were the choices that had any values attached? Like protecting average Americans.
Let me suggest some choices I didn't see:
1.Ensuring a balanced media in this country.
2.Protecting people who choose to be Christians from religious persecution.
3.Defending the Constitution as it was written.
    I spit on the ACLU.

Dislike most of what they do...but did the poll/survey. Do I think they really care about what we think?

My experiences with this group was not a tasteful one. I was one their $200,000 (charter school $$) cases involving separation of 'church and state'......$200,000, and we won the case.

NRA-ILA :: ACLU Of Nevada Declares Support For Individual's Right To Keep And Bear Arms

ACLU of Nevada Supports Individual?s Right to Bear Arms | ACLU of Nevada

"In light of the United States Supreme Court's decision concerning the D.C. handgun ban (District of Columbia v. Heller) the ACLU of Nevada considers it important to clearly state its position regarding the right to bear arms. The Nevada ACLU respects the individual's right to bear arms subject to constitutionally permissible regulations. The ACLU of Nevada will defend this right as it defends other constitutional rights. This policy was formulated by our afilliate Board in light of both the U.S. Constitution and the clearly-stated individual right to bear arms as set out in the Nevada Constitution's Declaration of Rights."
