A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

You can tell us. Were you trying to commit suicide? You know we are here for you right?

Seriously though, I miss the VB days. My BNCOC was 3 months long and all we did was play VB, drink beer and BBQ.

Make sure you get that covered up over there, you don't want it to get infected.

But if you hit the net, like it looks as what caused it you should not have gotten the point.

So then what did you hit it on to do that damage?

My guess is it is a burn from the net.

If it is, you didn't get the point because hitting the net would be a foul.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Yup. Probably not an officiated game. Not everyone knows the rules.

Guys, I play against Marines. Our rules are pretty simple:

    1) Did it look cool?
    2) Is everyone still breathing?

If the answer to both questions is Yes, then the play stands.

And yes, the burn is from the cable on the top of the net. The sun (and constant beatings) has worn away chunks of the net "top," exposing the cable in some places - I followed through with a monster spike and ran my wrist along the cable and parts of the jagged, worn, net "top." Still not a GREAT story, but a decent one. We'll see what the scar looks like....

P.S. I know the rules, the rules just have to be bent sometimes in the interest of fun... :)

I hope you never play any really rough sports - we don't want to lose you.

Had me worried for a minute there OPFOR. We all know that the Marines are keeping the rules simple so you Army guys can understand them. Stay safe, keep your head down.
