Boy falls to death from same window as brother
ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities say a 4-year-old Michigan boy has died after falling from the same second-story window his brother fell from several years ago.
The Ottawa County sheriff's office told WGHN radio in Grand Haven on Monday that Trenton LaMadline was playing with two siblings at his Allendale Township home Saturday evening when he fell about 15 feet onto the driveway.
The child was taken to a hospital in Grand Rapids and died Sunday.
Sheriff's Lt. Mark Bennett told WZZM-TV in Grand Rapids that then-2-year-old Preston LaMadline suffered brain injuries after falling from the same window in May 2006. Child Protective Services investigated the fall but found no evidence of abuse.
There was no phone number listed for the family.
(This version CORRECTS the spelling of the children's last names to "LaMadline," instead of "Lamadline
I cannot believe that the parents never took steps to insure that another one of their kids could not fall out of a 2 story window ever again,I believe this is total negligence,

Surprising? Shocking? Yes, indeed. But unbelievable is a word that I have stricken from my vocabulary when it comes to anything involving humanity.

I wonder if the parents will fix the window before the other 2 siblings fall out it.

I just can't even take this in. What a total unexplainable thing for these parents to have failed to do. They should be charged.

Genius has limits, stupidity is infinite..
How sad for these kids that their parents are idiots.
Forget gun licensing, license procreation to make the world a better place.
I wonder if these were really accidents.

Surprising? No
Shocking? No
Stupid? Yes
Very sad, but the kid was doomed anyway. No genetic material to work with.

To much of a coincedence. I would look at all present for both incidents.

Either they really are stupid or something is fishy here. Kinda like the shows you watch on TV where a guy is being investigated over the death of his wife only to find out it is his 2nd or 3rd wife, all of which died in a similiar fashion. In today's world, you never know.

Wait sec.... you mean that one fluke incident means that the parents are totally negligent? If that is your position, how are we supposed to "correct" the problem? And, if taken to a logical conclusion (note, not an extreme conclusion but a logical one) what are we supposed to do when other "fluke" incidents happen in which NO ONE is "at fault?"
IOW, your position appears to be based on emotional 20/20 hindsight that someone ought to pay even when no blame can be leveled at anyone.
Freaky things happen. Sometimes they repeat themselves but that doesn't indicate negligence or fault by anyone. It doesn't make it right to say that, but neither does punishing someone when they did nothing wrong. This is a tragedy, nothing more.
My condolences to the family.
