The last time I was in France I noticed that even beggars get angry when you can't speak French. Reminds me of home.

    I should learn.

Nope, don’t speak it and have no desire to learn it.

I have been to France and I am afraid I have a rather low opinion of the French people.

I understand that most students of the French language begin with this phrase.......

S'il vous plaît ne pas me blesser. Vous pouvez avoir tout mon argent et ma fille aussi.

I just never felt the need.......
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."

    Je ne parle pas francais.

    But I've been told that:
A person who speaks three languages is "tri-lingual."
A person who speaks two languages is "bi-lingual."
A person who speaks just one language is "American."

    heh heh

No; No hablo. Entiendo un poco de español pero no francés. I was born in the San Luis Valley of Colorado and have lived most of my life in the western part of the state. Spanish speaking people have been my friends and neighbors for as long as I can remember and the Spanish language has always been in my ears. I have studied the Spanish language for practical reasons. Just wish I could speak it better. IMO, everyone should try to learn a 2nd language.
