YES, it is free to members. Above is the schedule of events. The events on the schedule require tickets and payment to attend, but otherwise the expo, members meeting and Friday leadership forum are free. Do not miss the leadership forum. That's where a lot of the really great speakers will be speaking.
Obviously this is your first NRA convention. I can guarantee if you go, it won't be your last. Had an absolute BLAST last year in Louisville. Bummed it's so far away this year, but the next 3 years should be doable in Charlotte, NC., Pittsburgh and St. Louis.
