Defensive Carry Dress code
Many of us over 50, WAY over 50, or on the way to 50 are quite confused
about
how we should present ourselves. We're unsure about the kind of image
we are projecting
and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashion.
In spite of what you may have seen on
the streets, the following
combinations
DO NOT go together and should be avoided:
1. A nose ring and bifocals
2. Spiked hair and bald spots
3. A pierced tongue and dentures
4. Miniskirts and support hose
5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads
6. Speedo's and cellulite
7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar
8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
10.. Pierced nipples that hang below the waist
11.. Bikinis and liver spots.
12.. Short shorts and varicose veins.
13.. Inline skates and walker
And the ultimate 'Bad Taste' in fashion for the older folks...
14.. Thongs and Depends.
Please keep these basic guidelines foremost in your mind when you shop
"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"
--Mayor Marion Barry, Washington , DC .

He must have been to The Villiages here in Central FL.

I'd like to add one to the list. I actually saw this one time while I was on vacation in San Diego a few years ago.
Older man in 70's wearing a "speedo" on beach! It was a not a pretty picture. I can still imagine the image as I compose this message.

I'm only 38....and being out in the "civilian" world after a long time in the Military still has me confuzzled daily and wondering what, if anything, these people are thinking??
Case point: the other day wifey and I went to Walmart after she got home from work. No biggie, it's usually amusing for me to laugh at wonder-children that call this area home at the least.
We seen a younger dude, maybe early 20's...dressed to the hilt as a gangsta wannabe crap on, just a total fashion wreck. I said something to Krista, she laughed, and I think he overheard me. I don't kow if she noticed it or not, but I walked in front of her and stared "homey" up....maybe the USMC t-shirt made him not want to play with me....I dunno....it would have been a very, very bad evening for him.
Another "cat" we seen I can only describe as a cross between Lamar from Revenge of the Nerd's and Erkel. Tall, skinny dude, socks up to his knees, tank top on, and looking like he had some "intelligence" issues....what a train wreck.
People crack me up....I'm not a suit and tie guy, nor like sports jackets, but I'm always in clean clothing, appropriate shirt for the occasion, and present at the least a decent appearance.
The US Marine's aren't a branch of the US Military, they're a Religion unto themselves
