Jury Duty? Take This Summons And...

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.

    Rudyard Kipling

Just makes you think of how many perspective jurors with his rational have made it to the jury box.

It's funny but it also makes me wonder if this is the kind of guy that goes to the the mall one day with an AK-47 and a backpack full of magazines. The guy is a weirdo.

    It's still funny though.

Ok, I've got to admit I would probably do most anything to get out of jury duty, but that was funny...

The document, of course, did not sit well with court officials and led a judge to threaten to jail Slye. But after being summoned to court, Slye apologized for the affidavit and avoided being cited on a criminal failure to appear rap. And he also was excused from serving on a jury.
Darn lucky. That wouldn't sit well with most Judges.

Exactly... I really am frightened that my murder conviction would depend on 12 people not smart enough to get out of jury duty...

There's a common cliche of being "judged by 12 rather than carried by 6"... I don't want jurors who are tapping their watches and can't wait for this thing to be over... LOL

I'm just amazed that he didn't do jail time. The judge must have had a very happy experience the night before .
