    Kentucky Derby

50/1 Mine That Bird just won the Kentucky Derby. The jockey looked like a little monkey on that horse. It was one of the biggest upsets in Derby history. The owner only paid $9500 dollars for that horse.

I can't believe the horse went off at 50-1 with Borel on his back. Jocky is well know in the Bluegrass state and he was third last year after winning two years ago.

I bet the guy who paid over $3 million for Dunkirk is feeling really sick right about now. Just goes to show that the Derby is anybody's race. Hooray for a blue collar horse.

Well, I won with my longshot bets this year - four $1 bets: Win and place on Mine that bird and win and place on Join the Dance.

With the pool payoff, I took home $293 on the $1 bet on Mine that bird :)

More than covered years of paltry bets on the long shots :)

i made a $50 bet, turn into $250 one time, but usually i dont bet anywhere NEAR that much, especially on one race, i think id jsut gotten paid, and was feeling VERY frisky, thankfully it paid off.

other than that, ive pretty much prretty much broken even in the long run. it feels good to turn a $1 bet into 20 or 30, tho the last many times i lost my dollar :( haha

MY KINDA GUY!!! bet very little on the LOONG shots so if they do happen to win you win big, and if you loose you dont lose much of anything.

Wish I'd been there. Whenever I go to the race track, I always put $5.00 on the long shot, just in case. I most always lose, but onetime, I had $5.00 on a 20 to 1 shot that won.
