    I've often wondered that myself.

Some people may read at work, and don't want to leave their member info on a work computer...

Maybe they are still learning and think they will sound like an idiot by posting something they know little about. Gotta remember, thanks to our Salesman of the Year: Obama, there are ALOT of new gun owners out there.

    Some people like their privacy.
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.

I read this forum for at least a month before I created an account...

That's about the same amount of time it took for me. I saw that this was one of the best forums when it comes to quality people with quality information, so I had no other choice but to join

I read other forums and don't join them. This forum really is a cut above. people here disagree but still deal with each other with respect and civility, that doesn't happen on a lot of forums of any type.

They don't have decent moderation. Early on in the life of a forum the administrators and moderators set the rules and the tone for the board. Once the forum takes off then the admins and mods enforce the rules and stress the tone. After a while people get the idea and realize what will be accepted and what won't.

I joined this board recently so I didn't witness its evolution, but I can guess that the tone was set early and enforced often. Now it has settled into what you see today.

p.s. BTW, excellent forum. Keep up the good work.
