BEDFORD, Ohio - An Ohio man who argued
with his grown son over a messy bedroom says
he overreacted when he called 911.
Andrew Mizsak called authorities Thursday after his
28-year-old son — who's a school board member in
the Cleveland suburb of Bedford — threw a plate of
food across the kitchen table and made a fist at him
when told to clean his room.
The son, also named Andrew, lives in a room in his
The father declined to press charges and told police
he doesn't want to ruin his son's political career.
The son, who also works as a political consultant,
says he's lucky to be living in the house rent free.
He also promises to keep his room clean.

This is as bad as people calling 911 because McDonald's is out of chicken nuggets.

He doesn't want to ruin his Son's political career, yet he will allow his child to waste food and break dishes and disrespect his authority in his own home?

A 28-year-old who throws food and dishes at his dad? And the son is making decisions on the school board?

The son needs a new place to live before they ruin their relationship. It sounds like a bit of friction is going on.

I was dumbfounded when I first caught that story on the TV news.

I think the idea that a 28 year old elected official is still living with his parents might do some harm to his political aspirations on it's own.

I wouldn't vote for him. He probably spends all of his free time playing world of warcraft.

Doesn't want to ruin his son's "political career," when he can't survive on his own? Dang.
The father should be a bit bummed about the poor parenting job he's done.
That childish, pampered, prissy little fool isn't going to last long in the land of sharks. Either that, or he'll get elected to some truly harmful post where he can do the least good. 28yrs old and gets violent when asked to clean up his free room? Amazing that he hasn't been ejected, already.

This 28 year-old living at his parents' house throws food when told to clean his bedroom?? And he is holding an elected office?

I was told stay in college and you got a room, quit and "we'll miss ya son, we'll forward your mail". And that was generous! When my father turned 18 he got "Happy Birthday son, where you moving to?" This kid and even though he's only four years younger than I, is still a kid. Needs some serious tough love.
And there definitely needs to be stiff fines for people who call 911 and tie up operators because they want to "scare their kids" or because they are lost and need directions to the beauty salon or whatever. Ridiculous.

I don't know. Seems like this kid is overly qualified to hold a local public office. He would be better off running for Congress or what-the-heck, toss his hat into the ring in 2012 for Prez.
He couldn't do worse than what we have in Washington, DC now, could he?
