Not much help but like others, I let the pup/kitten name themselves. Had one cat named lazy and another called piss. They went to other homes when I had a change of station from NY.

Georgia, my cat now, was named that but answers better to ***** (can I say that?). She was pre-named because I adopted her when she was around 3 or 4.

Peaches is my sisters former dog (she abdanded it) and I got her. I would have name her poopeater (tries to sneak "snacks" from the cat's litter box).

Trust me that creates a lot of confusion... don't name a dog after a gun.

Well if ya get a female dog, Molly would be a good name, but it's my wife's name so I just won't say anything to her about that. She's no dog. :D

    Thumbs up Bud

That is the greatest looking dog.
Tell him I said: "woof woof!"
Now...be sure to give him that exact message for me.

In the gallery section under MY photos, there are pics of our two Newfoundlands. Our first we named after the legendary Peter Pan nursemaid: "Nana" which contrary to Steven Speilberg was NOT a sheepdog. The original author of the book had a Newfoundland named Nana that he patterned the book pup around. When OUR Nana passed after a remarkably long life for a Newfie, we got another from a breeder in Texas. It was right around 911 so we named the girl MISS AMERICA or Missy for short. Just last year we got her a lil sister from the same breeder whom we named MISS LIBERTY or "Libby." The NEXT will probably be MISS INDEPENDENCE or "Indie."

For a boy pup I tend to follow the gun stuff....maybe BUCKSHOT or Winchester .... but not a handgun ....

Or you can go more generic: How about Diogi: Dee Oh Gee ... Get it?

I always wanted to name a pup Lugnut, or Luggy, for short.
Now you know why my wife wanted a couple of cats. LOL!

I did slip one past her though, I named one of the cats, Shelby after the creator of the Shelby Cobra.
