Don't know anything about ING. I do online banking including scanning checks to deposit with USAA Federal Savings Bank. I have been using various parts of the online banking with them for over 5 years. The scanning just became available about 18 or so months ago. I like their system.

I'm a confirmed online bank fan and use it for paying bills, transfering funds between accounts. It's GREAT if you have kids in college that suddenly "need" funds. Quick online transfer and it's in their bank account immediately. I use Bank of America.

I've been using online banking for about 15 years now with several banks. Works for me.

I love online banking. I use Wells Fargo. Never a problem.

In e-commerce I depend on a secure, and pay dearly for an SSL certificate and also a merchant services provider to process credit cards and call-in banking transactions. My provider uses 250 bit encryption while most only use 128 bit. This process is the best available and we have never had a problem.

I have used online banking since it came out in the 80s. I must admit that I am very hesitant to use it in hotel rooms, vacation homes or other places where my access/password can be stolen. I recommend that we use it with a network cable (instead of wireless) at home or other secure places.
