And I personally have been harassed for merely shining a flashlight out a car window on a bridge ... accused of hunting from the car, despite having zero tools for hunting.

    Same ol', same ol'.

Still, am glad to see the laws equally applied for a change.

4 and 2 days jail sentences and no fines? Doesn't sound like justice to me, sounds more like a slap on the hand. Would you or I have gotten off that lightly for poaching a deer? I doubt it very much.

It would have been funny if the game warden had confiscated the car used and all the weapons in the car.

Well, I'd say they were fined $40-$60K plus loss of benefits...thats just for the first year.

Their loss of income from their jobs irrelevant. It is not a fine. It is a result of committing an illegal act. If you had a security job that requires a clean record the poaching conviction would get you fired from it. Plus the court would fine you as well.

No accident here, just arrogant stupidity.
They certainly abused their positions to do the very things they would arrest others for doing.
