Not Always Right | Funny & Stupid Customer Quotes Pointless Paranoia, Meet Pistol Packin’
Got this from a website that lets employees share stories of idiot customers they come in contact with.
(A young man asks for a ticket for an R-rated movie and hands me his ID. I’m about to sell him the ticket when the lady behind him speaks up.)
Lady: “Wait! That picture in the ID doesn’t look like him at all!”
(I look at the ID. It appears he’s been sick since the photo was taken, but it’s clearly the same guy.)
Employee: “Well, ma’am, I’m fairly certain that this is the correct ID. Now, if you’d just step up–”
Lady: “No! You can’t sell to someone with a fake ID. He could be a terrorist, for God’s sake! You should call the police!”
Employee: “Ma’am, that is definitely not necessary. I am responsible for checking identification, and I–”
Lady: “I need to talk to your manager!”
(I begin to respond, but the guy politely waves me off and turns to the woman.)
Man: “Miss, I have another photo ID here, with a more recent picture. Do you think this matches?”
(He pulls a card out of his wallet and hands it to her. She goes completely white.)
Lady: “Well… um… yes, that’s, uh, fine!”
(She squirms for a moment, then exclaims, “I’ll be right back!” She drops the card and leaves the theater in a hurry. I give the guy his ticket.)
Employee: “What was that you showed her?”
Man: “Oh, my handgun permit.”

Priceless. If I had been there to see that, I would have paid for his ticket.

LOL, I liked that one. I could just see that happening in my mind!
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Brilliant! Wish I could have been a fly on the wall for that!

I might have to try that one day, if a similar situation arises. My DL looks nothing like me as I haven't had to take a new picture in 10 years or so (back when I was heavier and had hair).

Not as funny. Nor can I tell them as well.
However, I have had a number of situations where I've seen similar reactions:
Public building in Virginia where you can carry [such as the State Legislative office building], but where they have the metal detectors bag searches, etc and the react when the guards let you though carrying.
OC in gun friendly restaurants w/ ABC on-premise. Solo seems to get a different reaction than a group carrying.
OC & CC in beer garden or special event ABC permits locals (i.e., the law only specifically prohibits CC in "restaurants" w/ ABC on-premise)
Public government meetings.
When a bunch of us show up with the blaze orange 'Guns save Lives" buttons and/or stickers (some OC some CC) at un-gun friendly meeting, it is usually fun to watch the reaction.
I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.
I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.

The only time I have ever used my Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit as an ID was when a young man in Radio Shack absolutely had to have a second photo ID for my check...it was the only other one I had at that time.
I did not know that anyone's eyes could literally get that big.
And I was carrying at the time.
Well, he insisted....
