    It is the VETERAN!

    It is the VETERAN,
    Not the preacher,
Who has given us freedom of religion.

    It is The VETERAN,
    Not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.

    It is The VETERAN,
    Not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.

    It is The VETERAN,
    Not the campus organizer,
Who has given us freedom to assemble.

    It is The VETERAN,
    Not the lawyer,
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.

    It is The VETERAN,
    Not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

    It is the VETERAN who
    Salutes the Flag,
    and It is the VETERAN
    Who serves
    Under the Flag.

    Very true...
"Who is to say that I am not an instrument of karma? Indeed, who is to say that I am not the very hand of God himself, dispatched by the Almighty to smite the Philistines and hypocrites, to lay low the dishonest and corrupt, and to bust the jawbone of some jackass that so desperately deserves it?"

Amen to that. I didn't serve- my draft number was 365 during the Viet Nam War, and I'm basically a clutz. But I have the utmost respect and gratitude for anyone who has served.

Saw a bumper sticker a while back that said,

If you can read "this", thank a teacher.
If you can read "what" you want, thank a Vet.

I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.

I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.
