Just another fraud...it's always about the money, not helping dogs, hungry kids, the public, the environment, etc...
There are few organizations you can trust.
Know who you donate to, and how it's used is not always an easy thing to find out.

Even the local shelters are the same way. We adopted our dog from the shelter and paid a couple of hundred dollars for her being spayed and her shots and care while she was in the shelter. I agree with that, and had no problem paying it.

Then we got on their mailing list asking for donations and like suckers we sent some money in because it's a good cause, right? Then we started getting letters almost every week asking for more money. But the real kicker is that when we called about the stray cat that had a litter in our shed they said that we'd have to get the cats and bring them in and pay a "donation". I refused to do that and let the cats just add to the 2 dozen strays we already had in the neighborhood. Over a couple of years, us and several neighbors called them about the stray cats, and even though they have a paid "Animal Control Officer", they refused to come out until the chief of police who also happened to be our neighbor called and told them to get there immediately.

Corruption, Corruption Corruption. If it has to do with money it's hard to find any organization now that isn't full of it. We just think "white collar" crime is not quite as bad as bg that steal from us. The are ALL bgs.

HSUS is one of the biggest anti-huning groups out there. They will never see a dime of my money. And I tell everyone who will listen exactly why.

This is why I ONLY deal with the 5 dog rescues I work for. I know and see exactly where the money goes, and have a personal stake in some of the funds. We pay every animal bill of pocket (Argos cost me about $500 in a month!) and all the bills are at an approved vet, the procedures and meds are ok'd in advance, and then I submit for reimbursement for the exact amount. We know where every penny is, which dog it goes to, what it's for, etc. NONE OF US ARE PAID for our work. Because it's all about the animals, not the people behind the scenes, what gourmet dinners we can or can't eat, what fancy cars we can or can't afford, etc.

Big oganizations like PETA and HSUS put out these commecials showing these dogs and cats to make feel guilty and send them money to line their pockets.
