Once more, who keeps them imprisoned?
Once again, who keeps them imprisoned?

If Jordan granted freedom of movement to those who should be Jordanian citizens anyway, they would not be imprisoned in the West Bank.
If Egypt granted freedom of movement to the Gazans, they wouldn't be sealed in a ghetto. (Does it make sense to expect Israel to give them freedom of movement when the Egyptians won't?)
And if the Gazans behaved themselves they could have an open international airport, open delivery of goods, services, and movement of people through their ports on the Mediterranian Sea.
If Hamas had not VIOLENTLY taken over control of Gaza from a now slightly more sensible Fatah than under Arafat, there would have been no need for the recent invasion of Gaza.
If the present Fatah leadership maintained control instead of incitement, there would be no need for innumerable incursions and also NO NEED FOR SETTLEMENTS, which are there as defensive outposts. (Notwithstanding the historical right of the Jewish people to live throughout all of the region.) Israel already proved it would remove settlements and grant "palestinian autonomy." The response to generosity was thousands of rockets from Gaza.
The "Palestinians" and their corrupt neighbors are the source of their own difficulties. At any point, tomorrow, even this evening, they could have peace and good relations with Israel, and prosperity that comes with it. They don't need to make big concessions, they don't need give up much of anything.
They just need to start acting rationally. That, they are incapable of, as seems to be generally the case in most of the Islamic world.
If you want proof, look at how quickly the open warfare between Israel and Egypt stopped once Egypt's Sadat made up his mind he wanted it to stop; a simple proclamation, "no more war," brought it to an end, got him his territory back, and led the way for Jordan to follow.
If you want more proof, look at how relatively good Israeli and Jordanian relations have become once the present King's father died and someone with a true moderate temperament ascended the thrown.
Personally, I wish the owners of this forum would disallow discussions such as these, and disallow most of the domestic political discussion, especially the partisan stuff and the O bashing. I come here to read and post about SD related stuff. But, since the owners don't vigorously remove all this political stuff, I'm not going to sit here and let nonsense go without a response.

I don't mind a little of the discussions, as long as it stays civil. It is on "off topic section" and I do have to confess I am learning things about that region I did not know. For me my mind is always open to learning. In some small way it ties into our SD, because I think this conflict does add to the small chance of us needing a weapon here someday because of a terrorist attack.

Well, folks can call anything they like an egregious offense. They can take offense at anything they chose, and often do. That doesn't mean it is a real offense. Emotional upset, offense, is often in the eye of the beholder. You are entitled to your opinion as I am of mine.

If you do a little digging, you will find that ONLY Israeli politicians have worked toward a two state solution. The Palies have sabatoged every effort.

Moslems talk a good talk, but compare what they say with what they actually do; they remind me of the white trash clans I grew up around. One way, all the way. Never remember a favor, never forget a slight.
I'll have to cheer TJs from the side lines as there are none here.

Bibi certainly has a lot on his plate.
The situation is heating up.
It's bad enough that Iran, a terrorist sponsored nation, is well on their way to nuclear armament, but now the Palestinian Authority wants to hand over control of Jerusalem's Temple Mount to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the largest anti-Israel organization inside the United Nations (UN).
The OIC is focusing on flexing its political muscle in Israel - in the heart of Jerusalem - by threatening to take control of the Temple Mount.
The Temple Mount is definitely the Epicenter.

Well, this thread has now gone where we didn't want it to go, against forum policy regarding politics/religion and has now been closed.
