2) How reliable is a source that starts with this disclaimer:
"Measuring insurance fraud is an elusive target. No single national agency gathers omnibus fraud statistics. Insurance fraud data thus are relatively piecemeal, making our understanding of insurance fraud an ongoing work in progress.
Insurance companies and diverse state and federal agencies each gather fraud data related to their own missions. But the kind, quality and volume of data they compile vary widely."
There are certainly thong that can be improved in our current system. But I do not want the government running healthcare. I do not believe that the same government that runs the VA system will be able to effectively handle our care. And the costs involved will be huge. Obama, in his short time as President, has already quadrupled the national debt. He has other plans that will run more, and should the government take over as a single payer, well, we will have a debt that can never be repaid. He's already trying (and will likely succeed) in having our taxes and fees hugely increased, with the "Cap and Tax er, Trade" bill that just passed the House. I'm writing my Senators urging them to vote against it, but with one of the Harry Reid, I only have one that will likely listen.
I'd like to think that in a country as great as America, we could have a national health care program that gives every citizen and legal resident the full gamut of state-of-the-art health care without waiting lists or rationing... the envy of the world.
But I tell ya what... I sure as hell don't trust the current cast of crooks and incompetents we have in Washington to implement it. They have already proven they are not up to the job...
