If ACORN shows up the only one that will be available to comment will be my rottweiler. The chances of them coming out to this part of the sticks is very slim though.

    Now that there is funny.

Glad I wasn't drinking anything while viewing.

I, too, am into genealogy. I really think the information provided on the 1930 census (the most recent one available) is plenty. Names, gender, marital status, where you and your parents were born, etc, is really all I think they need.

They sure as heck don't need my annual salary, number of bathrooms, or any of that other crap. And they won't get it.

I will not comply. I'll risk the 5k fine.

Under no circumstances will I give any info to anyone not wearing a uniform, whether it is a Post Office uniform or a Sheriff.

Just for a little history refresher... when the government locked up Americans of Japanese decent in 1942, you know where they got the addresses...? The 1940 census.

I got 20 bucks that says there is a question about guns in those 28 pages...

Hi everyone! First time posting. Just thought I would provide a link so you can view the questions the 2010 Census will have. I know how my DH and I intend to answer!

Okay, help me out. What am I missing?

The form clearly states that the 2010 census will be short form only. The American Community Survey will be done at some homes (not sure when and by whom), and I am not certain that there is any requirement by law to comply and answer the questions.

So, which is it? Short form for everybody/ACSurvey for some but NOT the census? Or, is the ACS the Census by another name, and still required by law to answer the questions?

    Anyone know this answer?

This site may answer some of your questions. However, it is a few years old. It appears as though the ACS will go out to only some households and the census to all. American Community Survey

Looks like the old felt pen is coming out.

"Get a warrant" for most of the questions on the short form, too.
