WTB Game bird feathers/wings or whole birds (OH)

OK, so maybe this is the weirdest wanted add on DC, Oh well, its worth the shot.

I need quail or pheasant feathers, wings or maybe even live birds for dog training. My usual source has dried up, I need to finish up my new setter before the season starts.

Let me know what you got.

Too bad. I could have gave you some turkey feathers from a fan that I had laying out...

that my Basset hound decided to eat.

    Wild turkey feathers everywhere.

I had an eyeball to eyeball discussion with him,but I got the feeling that he wasn't taking it serious enough ...

Didn't you have something similar a ways back, I seem to remember you asking about bird wings or some such thing.

I don't know of any places in particular, but I do have some friends back home that trained their bird dogs, I'll shoot off an e-mail or two for ya.

If nothing else, try the fly fishing/ fly tying sections of places like Cabela's, they carry full backs for tying flies. One of my favorite sources is TheFlyShop.com

What part of Ohio are you from? I'm near Columbus, and may be able to refer you to some game farms or folks I hunt with that may have a few.

I'm in Cincinnati, but I do get around the state a bit, in particular up towards the Cleveland 'burbs, Medina area especially.

I know Cabela's sells them, but the quality of the scent is a little suspect. Sometimes they are old and havent been stored proper. I'd like to find fresh samples if possible.
