Monster Bass spotted .
I was fishing this afternoon, second cast I catch a decent crappie, about 1lb. I put it on a stringer and put it in the water. A couple of minutes go by and the crappie on the stringer starts going nuts. I look over to where it is and the biggest bass I've ever seen is chasing it around ,trying to eat it ! This bass was huge, an easy 15lbs or more ! Now, I know what I'll be doing from now until winter, trying to catch that freak of nature. wish me luck. I hope that I'll have some pictures to post soon.

Catch and release, after pictures obviously.
If it's a female just think how many young she can have.

I too chase the big ones! Fresh and salt. Big bass season is here now in the south. Go get em champ!
A few years ago I was working the big mamas in one of my honey holes when all of a sudden she grabbed a jig and headed for some limbs in a downed tree. As I was hogging her to the boat (I was alone...no net guy) a pontoon load of jug fisherpeople (momma, daddy, kids, granny and papa)came too close and I heard one of them say "Hey, hey, he's got a monster on". A few seconds later as I tried to lip land her, I had my thumb in her mouth and was just about to welcome her aboard when she gave it everything she had one last time and got off. I then used some language I learned over the years chasing big fish then I heard in a loud granny voice "there is no reason for that kind of language mister!" It had to be 12-13 pounds.:aargh4:

biggest bass i caught was in my front pond, it stretched from my fingertips to my neck. id say he weighed in at about 15 lbs. but all those fish do is eat and grow, they really dont have any predators, other than me. but i always let them go to catch another day, lol.

Thanks for the encouragement ya'll,
I 'll definitely snap some pics before I let her go, if I'm lucky enough to catch it.
I know what you mean KingDaddyOh, I lost a huge Yellowfin Tuna at the back of the boat, after a couple of hours that made me want to jump in the gulf and drown myself...lol
