Dude, they are looking at all the classic TV and movies, and running wild with CGI and special effects technology that wasn't available 20 or 40 years ago...
Taking of Pelham 1,2,3 is coming out shortly as well... Travolta playing Robert Shaw's role. That was a great film...

I saw Pelham a couple of weeks ago, it was pretty good.
Red Dawn was great, I'll watch a remake, one of the few movies that I can watch a bunch of times.
I know Major Payne, word for word, it's a dumb movie but it's funny.
Planet of the Apes, the first one, is also one of my all time favorites. The remake was puke.

By then way, Red Dawn is available on Youtube. I'm watching it right now on my notebook computer. I'm reading the DC forum on my desktop computer.
Damn good flick!

An American Werewolf in Paris was bad enough. Now they have to ruin the original?

This is the first time I have heard about a (Red Dawn)
remake? I would go see this..I loved the first one.
I do know they talked about bringing "Foot Loose" and
"Ghost Busters" back again.

Considering all the remakes in Hollywood you have to wonder if there is any originality there anymore. Can't they do something of their own instead of remaking someone else's work? Helter Skelter is another example.

I think the last original movie was Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino. He is an American icon.
