Exclamation My 4th of July experience...

Hope everyone had a great Independence Day...!!

My 4th usually revolves around veterans, to include my wife ( US Army SgtMaj CID ) and our involvement with various organizations that help wounded vets, in particular, Operation First Response. (http://www.operationfirstresponse.org/)
So, this year, we joined up with friends and their VFW Post that was marching in two local parades...Oreland and Glenside...and these guys have a couple of Jeeps and a Duece and a Half that pulls a vintage Huey circa 1965. I brought my camera along, snapped a few shots at the staging area, and then got invited to join in the parade, by sitting in the cockpit of the helo. Here's a few pics...(that's my wife holding the M60.)

The picture above is me holding a vintage M16a1 with triangular grip. A few pics of me in the cockpit were taken by others who have'nt sent me a copy yet...I'll post when I get 'em.

I don't think I'd mess with that outfit. They look ornery and well armed.
