Do any of you use this type of software?
I am looking for a package that can monitor and limit access to some types of sites and also has a function that would allow me to set a time limit of other sites. Like if I wanted to limit one of my kids to an hour or 2 hours per day on a certain social networking site.:tired:
Any suggestions on software or sites to search for this type of software would be greatly appreciated.
Only thing that comes to mind is "Watchdog", but I don't think that it sets time limits.

I don’t know about software but in XP you could set up accounts for other users then set their access and I believe time limits also. Some browsers will have parental controls that will block inappropriate sites. Hope that helps some.

There is a product called Safe Eyes that is endorsed by Dave Ramsey. I have not used this one, but the last one he endorsed was great (Be safe Online).
A lot of wireless routers have the ability to be set up to limit time. I think some of them can monitor content too. There is Watchdog, NetNanny and others A router is your best bet to limit time too. I think Windows Vista has that ability and I will find out what Ubuntu offers and get back to you.
