Raccoon? I knew some people who tried it and didn't like it. Most exotic things I ate were goat, buffalo, and rooster fries.

    Rooster fries.

    Rooster Fries

I have always wondered how the first person tasting chicken described it.

Reminds me of a great anti-PETA shirt I saw awhile ago. You probably have heard it before but here it goes.

    (PETA) People Eating Tasty Animals

    I love that name! lol

I was stationed in Belgium while I was in the USAF. While I was there I used to date a local girl for awhile. I used to drive her to the local butcher shop once or twice a week.

On the wall were two charts. One was of a cow, the other was of (forgive me Texans!) a horse. She bought meat from both animals. She used to cook both types of meat. I've eaten horse and it's not that bad at all.

I prefer not to eat horse & I have not eaten it since returning to the states.

Good job, Ryan. I am against whaling, but the tactics of the Greenpeace bunch are just wrong. The aren't a government agency, it's not their job to try to stop them. And as far as t-shirts, another I've seen is "Meat is murder- Tasty, tasty murder."

If they are wearing matching shirts or vest, likely they are "paid volunteers" which means that part of the money people donate pays for those kids. while I don't mind people earning a living, every area has a finate amount of money that can raised for charity, using a significant portion of that money for wages, reduces the effectivness of the area to help various causes and reduces the amount other charities can raise.
I always ask how many acres of wetland did Greenpeace create last year? Of course the answer in none, which is why I tell that I donate to Ducks Unlimited instead.

GP: **complete look of shock** You actually ATE whale?
Me: Of course. It's some of the best seafood I've ever had.
GP: Did you know all they eat is Krill?
Me: Yeah, it's like shrimp, which I also love. I'm sure that's why I like whale meat too!

At this point, 2 other GP members come over.

GP2: Did you know whale meat is the most toxic meat known to man?
Me: Maybe it is, but it tastes good. I'm sure I've eaten worse things for my health than whale. I can't wait to try it again!

    ......

GP: "The whalers aren't civilians! They are criminals!"
GP2: **look of horror and realization** "My fiancee is in Okinawa. I hope he doesn't come back and say he ate whale."

would have loved to be a fly on the wall for THAT conversation!
