Since we've all heard by now that the 2nd Amendment does not protect an individual right to keep and bear arms, I propose that we change the language of this important amendment to better reflect what it actually means. Since the 2A is really about making sure the militias can be armed properly in their defense of the state, here is the new text:
When the government sends a soldier into combat, they cannot prevent him from being armed.
Now, let's all think about this for a minute. That's what the antis really want people to believe? This interpretation would mean that we'd need a constitutional amendment to guaranty the right of fire-fighters to hoses, and so on.
