Since I'm no expert on this, is this like something ancient? I'm going to guess that this doesn't happen under normal circumstances. Did the doctor give any indication as to what type of heart it was(what it came out of)?

When you turn it sideways and look carefully you can see a faint image of Michael Jackon in there also!!!!
Michael LOVED everybody so possibly that is why his image appears in a heart.

Might want to hit up the Smithsonian. They love to check out finds like this. They might even pay you for it to be able to display it.

Actually Smithsonian has offered to broker an auction with the starting bid in the mid 7 figure area, but they only take donations, I'm thinking Sotheby's in NY they tend to cater to real high end clientèle

Don't let your friend forget that there will be taxes due on any amount he receives. It can be a nasty suprise when someone forgets.
