Wii Remote vs. My Samsungs 46"
Well, I was totally speechless when my eldest daughter called me yesterday afternoon. She said, "Dad", rather sheepishly, "you're going to be really mad."
As she was saying this I thinking, going over all the things that we own, that are expensive, wondering what could they possibly break? I have two girls, you see, and they're typically not violent. Just then I remembered that my wife allowed one her relatives' children come over to play with my youngest daughter... They were 'Bowling' on the wii...
My daughter proceeded to tell me that the wii remote flew out of our visitors hand and struck my beloved television and that the screen was 'all white and strange looking.'
I calmly said alright, thanked her for the call and hung up the phone. I then called my wife and told her what had transpired and that she had better get home before I get off work or something bad is going to happen.
When I got home, it was very quiet and our visitor was nowhere to be found. I looked in the living room at the tv and to my surprise, I could only find one small smudge on the screen. "Wow! not so bad after all," I thought.... then I turned it on.

The boys father said that since his son broke it, he would pay for it.
My wife and I discussed it and decided that we couldn't let them pay for the whole thing because the wrist straps where not in use. (even though, their son is quite hyperactive)
He said to let them know how much another one costs and they would get back with us.
My wife told them how much it cost to replace it and the lady's response on the phone was " (deep breath... pause...) oh... ok... we'll give you a call back." That was yesterday... they still haven't called. Hehe. oh well. Hell, I think I'll be lucky if they pay anything
I guess $1399.00 is a bit of a sticker shock!

Check your homeowners and suggest you friends do the same. Many times, one or the other will cover flying wii debris.
