The Zombie Apocalypse and Tactical Lemonade

It was an interesting morning. Thought I'd share. (It's been a weird, WEIRD month, actually, but I digress...)

Went to the range today with Bunny Jr. and one of my NRA instructors, who is helping me prep for the Instructor practical. No one believed me when I said there was an evil watermelon at the range last week...thank goodness I had some 9mm hollow-points in my Sig, or I may not have gotten out alive.

Today, the watermelon's evil Brethren were out for revenge.

I give you...Zombiedew Melon...in all his Unholy glory!



I saw him at first, but then I told Junior and Jeff about it, and he tried to hide behind a blue barrel.



Yeah, everyone thought I was nuts until he set the barrel on top of another one, trying to get the drop on us. Who's crazy now, huh?



This should really go under a "I had to draw my gun today" thread, but I want to let everyone know before reading any further that not only did all three of us draw our guns, we had to fire. We were all in fear for our very lives, and had no choice but to neutralize the Zombiedew threat, or possibly have our brains eaten.

I'm going to post some very graphic pics in my next post, so please, have the children leave the room now, and make sure you didn't just eat.

Oh, and uh...we decided that a REALLY COOL IDEA would be to have a "tactical lemonade stand" for the summer.



Unfortunately, we soon found out that it doesn't quite work out the way we'd hoped. Logistically, it's a nightmare. I'm pretty sure the lemonade would have way too high a lead content in ppm, than the FDA could rightfully approve. Also, there's the problem of not being able to get the lemon juice into the pitchers without a whole lot of spillage, and we haven't been able to get a hold of a bullet-proof pitcher yet, either.

But it sure was FUN trying! :)
