I slept with my gun :~0

Actually, I just fell asleep on my bed wearing it on my hip. I didn't realize it until the next morning. I am just kind of wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

I've fallen asleep several times with a gun in my hand.

For some reason, that sounds twisted.

I've dozed off on the couch with a holstered gun. Does that count even though I was sitting up?

Um, I think that's illegal in most of the states!

Oh, wait -- FELL ASLEEP. Ok, never mind, I don't know what I was thinking. ;) And yes, I've nodded off on the sofa a few times while Ziggy was firmly holstered on my hip. It's actually getting to be like my wedding ring now...you know that comfortable weight and then when it's not there, you feel like something's missing?

I like being armed around the house...I like sleeping on the couch (4:30-5:00 each afternoon).
Yep, I sleep with my gun IWB a lot.

This is my rifle, this is my gun, this is for killing, this is for........

It has been 30+ years ( I never had to do "the march") and I can still hear it in my head (along with those other voices)

I don't remember accidentally falling asleep with mine on me, but it may have happened and I just forgot.

Slept with mine intentionally for the last couple weeks, though.

I have snoozed on the couch with the gun holstered and slept in a sleeping bag with one in my hand.

Now I am curious... How do the logistics work when sleeping with a gun in one's hand???

It is not a regular habit but not uncommon either to nap with my G27 IWB in my MTAC

Come on Grady, a guy like you has at least 5 tucked in his PJs. Two under the pillow, 3 on the nightstand, and a shotgun by the side of the bed.

(Just joking; I'm not mocking you at all. I admire the ability you have to carry multiple weapons and hide 10 on you while in the vegas casino. Awesome. You're the master.)

Well, now that you mention it, it really was two, with all the others at the foot of the bed. When sleeping in strange beds and locales, I slip my SmartCarry with 2 guns under an extra pillow.

I've been thinking about the OP's question. I realized the reason I haven't fallen asleep with my guns on is because our furniture isn't sleep-friendly. I've been planning on buying a recliner for years but have been too cheap to do it.

Once I get a recliner, I'll join the armed snooze club I'm sure.

I slept in the hospital for two days when my wife had our daughter with my .357 Glock on my side. I woke up laying on it one time, not so comfortable!
