Car was broken into early Friday morning

The dirtbags smashed the window and grabbed my briefcase. No laptop in it so they through it in the ditch up the rode from my house. Everything was in it so I didn't lose anything. It's a company car so the only cost was to my employer.
Car was in my driveway. We didn't hear a thing...lucky for them!

You were lucky... sounds like they didn't get any personal info about you... shouldn't leave your briefcase in the car...

Might want to invest in a driveway alert and motion lights.

We've live here 21 years with no problems. I started putting my briefcase in the trunk at night. Sucks when you have to change the things you do because of a scum-bag(s)

That sucks. But at least you weren't hurt and didn't lose anything too valuable. Though I'm sorry you've lost some peace of mind now :(

It’s bad enough if you do lose something valuable but what is really annoying is that the sorry thieves usually do more damage than what is lost.

Or a Big mean rotty who is well trained to lay in the back seat Untill game on. Then you can tell the cops and the coroner you didn't hear a thing.

That sucks man. I live in a pretty nice area and you still have to lock everything down. Some people have a mentality i just dont get. I read it somewhere, (cant remember where) "If its not bolted down its mine. If i can pry it up, it wasnt bolted down." This is how some people think. I think some people work harder stealing other peoples stuff then they would have to at a honest job. I hate thieves.

I think I may have found a great solution to your problem. Give this a try:

    Glock 26

I have a good internal alarm system for the house and plan on putting in motion sensors. Because I am somewhat concerned about Florida storms, I am installing a whole house generator. I have 2 shotguns, a rifle, and a pistol. I sometimes think "How Ludicristic is this", but my senses return, and I do love to shoot, and all becomes well again.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

    Just a quick follow-up.
I heard from a neighbor tonight that there has been several break ins in the neighborhood lately. A woman up the street lost a purse. Our mail was taken and gone thru about 2 months ago. found in under a tree in our woods.

We live in a secluded area on the edge of our community. All the homes have 2+ acres and most can't be seen from the road. Cops don't come through here very often. We have a monitored alarm system but no outside motion sensor lights, that will probably change this weekend.

I may do some "camping out" periodically over the next few weeks. Maybe get a look at the dirtbags. I will keep you posted.
