How can people not remember this?

Really not surprising, people nowadays can tell you all of the names of past winners of American Idol but have no concept of current events, if anything they just parrot the bias of the so-called “news media” if they even bother to watch.

How many people gave the correct answer? Editing can turn any question into a conundrum. It's easy to make people look uninformed when that is your intention.

It reminds me of something about the American populace and terrorism that I was reading yesterday.

If we don't do something about the ideology that spawns the terrorism that we face it will get worse, much worse. Unfortunately we won't until it's too late because it's a "Religion" and we have to respect everyone's rights to believe whatever lunacy they want to.

+1 If, as they stated, they were there asking the question for an hour we did not see most of the responses. Granted, I am shocked that anyone could forget that 9-11-1943 was the begining of the German occupation of Italy prolonging the terror and destruction of that nation.

Well that is typical of the American people. Unless the media is blurting something out daily it is sadly forgotten by far too many.
Everyone knows the "9/11" catch phrase given to it, because that is what is always blurted out by the brainless bobble heads on the news. Now if they had called it "9/11/01" The whole time, there would still be morons who didn't remember, probably fewer, but still enough to make any 30-second internet video to push an agenda whatever it may be.

It was a Tuesday. I was a freshman in high school and it happened during my first block JROTC class.

The general American public has no idea what happens in the world day to day, and the sad part is they don't want to know.

I was walking past the dumpster where I park for work in the morning and a bum who was dumpster diving for bottles popped up his head and said "someone flew a plane into the world trade center". At first I thought someone in a Cessna bounced off a tower but when I walked into work they had it on the TV and the rest is sad tragic history...
