What gun and Cal for..
So here is the scenario, it is some date in the future, and since all dinosaurs are going to be extinct the government opens it’s area 52 project BIT so they can make money for other area 52 projects.
BIT stands for Back In Time and is a portable time machine that allows a single user to go back into prehistoric times and go hunting, the catch that due to equipment and power restrictions all you can only take is one riffle and a backup pistol limit 10 rounds ea. Your time limit is 1 hour and the only souvenir you can bring back is a photo.
Now due to some distance/time error they can only target some decade in the very distant past, they can not tell what kind of Dino you will encounter if any, so what 2 guns would you take and why?

Haha - the challenge LOL!
Well my handgun would be my BFR and rifle Ruger #1. Both happily use the good ol' 45-70 and the loads would be hot! No --- HOT!!!!
If therefore I have 20 rounds total - I might cheat and use all thru the Ruger - sneaky Huh?!

Only ONE photo? Bah - I might need more than one.

There is an Old Time Radio Show Called "X Minus One" one episode was called "A Gun for Dinosaur".
The guide refused to take anyone who couldn't handle a 'six ought and ought'. Very interesting radio episode.
Anyway I have to agree that given the choice, I'd want a Barrett semi-auto .50. As for a handgun? I think a .454 Casull.
