Motorcycle ban???????????
I had some business earlier today at an apartment complex in a nearby city. Not a run down hole in the wall but fairly expensive places for this area.
It's the first time I had ever been there so when I was driving into the complex I was looking for the signage to tell me where the main office is.
I noticed a maintenance vehicle approach me form the opposite direction with a guy with his head out the window and gesturing to me.
I stopped and he pulled up and said you had better turn around with that thing and get out of here.
I said, first of all what is the that thing that you speak of? He said your motorcycle (I was on my Harley) you had better get out before she sees you coming.
I said before who sees me coming? He said Sharon, she hates those things. Well who is Sharon I say, He says the director.
As it turns out she is the one I am going to see so I proceed to the office. Before I am parked Sharon is half running to me yelling who are you? I state my name and she calms down a little and says well I guess you can come in for a minute.
She tells me they had an accident some years back involving a motorcycle and have not permitted them on the grounds since. Wanting to make points (not really) I say it's a good thing no one had an accident with their washing machine everyone would be walking around in stinky, dirty clothes.
The moral of the story, it's not just guns, stupid is stupid no matter what the inanimate object is. :gah:
